Nagasu was competing in the free skating portion of the Figure Skating Team Event on day three of the Winter Olympics at Gangneung Ice Arena, Pyeongchang on Feb. 12. And she did this:

What's a triple axel? At three and a half rotations, it'sone of the most difficult moves in figure skating, famously nailed by Tonya Harding in 1991 at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships — she was the first American woman to land it.

Nagasu became the third American woman to land the jump in September 2017 at the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic. Here's her casually nailing it:

The second American woman to land it, Kimmie Meissner, successfully performed a triple axel at the U.S. championships in 2005.

While Canada won the gold medal for Team Skate event, the Americans took bronze behind Russia — and Nagasu landed a season-best score of 137.53, and casually made history.

Needless to say, folks are pretty psyched for Nagasu.

Nagasu's teammate, figure skater Adam Rippon, was also moved by her performance. Rippon has also made history at the Games by become the first openly gay man to compete for the U.S. at the Winter Olympics.

Go team!
