If you've taken a video on Snapchat and you want to save it to your camera roll, don't fear, it's a super easy process.

Saving a video on Snapchat is very straightforward. You can choose whether to save it to "Memories" which is Snapchat's own camera roll and where it pulls those pesky daily flashbacks from or to both Snapchat's "Memories" and your phone's camera roll.

If you're looking to save a video sent to you on Snapchat, it's a little more complicated...and a little creepier. Maybe just don't? Either way, we laid out a few options for you below.

How to save a video on Snapchat that was sent to you

Yes, there are ways to record a Snapchat video sent to you, but we recommend that you respect that Snapchats are fleeting and let the video go. That being said, to save a video sent to you on Snapchat you can screen record it, but the user who sent you the Snap will receive a notification that you screen recorded the video.

Alternatively, you can use a sketchy third party app or mirror your phone to your computer screen and record it there. We don't recommend either. Additionally, Snap is constantly updating and it's very possible these methods won't work, or the other person will be notified.

There is also the tried and true method of using another phone to record the video, but maybe just don't!
