This delightful 'Harry Potter' shop nails the Diagon Alley aesthetic

Prepare to weep with joy and nostalgia, Muggles. There's a Harry Potter-themed shop in Edinburgh, Scotland -- and it's on the cobblestone street that inspired Diagon Alley.

Diagon House, which opened earlier this month, is already so popular with fans that it often has a line out the door. For good reason, too -- the store is full of seemingly endless Harry Pottermerch, from broomsticks, "potion" bottles, wands, and posters to Potter-themed pieces from local artists. Bonus: right down the street is the Elephant House Cafe, where JK Rowling wrote large chunks of the first Harry Potterbook.

The shop is owned and operated by wife and husband duo Alice and Andrew McRae, who told the Daily Recordin early August that they want the store to evoke the "visual identity of the [Harry Potter] films."

And judging by fans' reactions, they've absolutely succeeded in nailing that cozy, whimsical, and warmly-lit aesthetic.
