Trump thought being president would be easier than being a reality star businessman

Donald Trump is 100 days into his job, which is arguably one of the most duty-filled, challenging, and nerve-wracking posts in the world.

Still, in an interview with Reuters, an unusually reflective Trump admitted he had the wrong idea of what the U.S. president's office entails.

"I loved my previous life. I had so many things going," he said. "This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier."

Let's dissect this sentence, shall we?

In his previous life, Trump was a wealthy tycoon from New York who rose to global fame as host for 14 seasons of reality TV show The Apprentice.

With all due respect for TV hosts, it's fair to say that being the U.S. president is a hell of a more difficult job.

Trump also said he was "surprised" at how little privacy he had now.

"You're really into your own little cocoon, because you have such massive protection that you really can't go anywhere," he said, referring to the 24-hour Secret Service protection.

Again, we're sure that such an avid TV consumer like Trump must have watched the House of Cardsepisode when the Underwoods, after Francis becomes vice-president, have their house invaded by secret agents who install themselves in the basement.

What exactly did you expect, Mr. President?

He also said that he misses being behind the wheel. "I like to drive," Trump said. "I can't drive any more."

Not even in his 110,000 sq ft estate in Mar-a-Lago? What about driving a golf cart?

We feel you, Mr. President.
