Moms keep proving they are the best inspiration for tweets.

Christina Duron, a senior at Texas State University, sends her mother in Houston pictures to keep her updated on college life -- but hilariously, her mom just cannot get her friends' names straight.

"They think it's hilarious because I've tried to correct her and she can never get it quite right," she continued.

Duron shared the screenshots of her mother's repeated faux pas on Twitter, and of course, the tweet became massively popular.

"She thinks the tweet getting so popular is hilarious," Duron said. "She's happy to see her comedic genius be recognized even though it wasn't originally meant to be funny."

Genius it is. This might be the funniest tweet of 2016.
